Sequa is a health tracking application developed and published by Sequa, the team behind Sequa. In this policy, “Sequa”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Sequa and the Sequa application.
Sequa is designed as a personal health tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@sequahealth.com.
When you use Sequa to log symptoms, pain scores, triggers, protocols, compounds, supplements, injection records, blood markers, and any other health-related information, this data is stored exclusively on your device. It does not pass through our servers, is not accessible to us, and is not transmitted to any third party.
Important: Because we never receive your health data, we are technically incapable of selling it, sharing it with insurers, or disclosing it in response to subpoenas directed at us. The privacy protection is architectural, not just policy.
Crash reports and diagnostic logs, aggregate anonymised usage statistics, and device/app version information, used solely to identify bugs and improve performance, never combined with your health data.
All health and tracking data is stored using Apple SwiftData on your device only. It is protected by your device’s encryption, accessible only to Sequa, and we operate no database or cloud infrastructure that holds your health records.
What this means in practice: If you delete the Sequa app, your data is permanently deleted. There is no backup on our servers because no such backup exists. This is by design.
Optional iCloud sync uses Apple’s CloudKit technology. Your data syncs to your personal iCloud account, not ours. We do not have access to your iCloud data. iCloud sync is disabled by default.
HealthKit access is entirely optional. Data read from HealthKit stays on your device and is never used for advertising or sold to third parties, prohibited by Apple’s developer terms and our firm policy.
Your email address is used only to notify you when Sequa launches, send early access invitations, and share product updates. Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
Any analytics are aggregate, anonymised, and never linked to your health data. You can opt out in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data. Third parties involved: Apple (App Store, optional iCloud, HealthKit), our email service provider (waitlist only), and optional crash analytics. No health data is shared with any third party.
Sequa is not directed at children under 13. Contact hello@sequahealth.com if you believe a child has provided personal data.
Delete entries within the app, or delete the app entirely to permanently remove all data. If iCloud sync was enabled, also delete from Settings → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Sequa.
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection under UK/EU GDPR. Contact hello@sequahealth.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
We will update the “Last updated” date, display an in-app notice, and notify waitlist members by email for significant changes.
